I am going to land in toronto on 22 February 2010 from UK and will stay in Canada for one week. Then I will finally move to Canada in september 2010. I am going to open a bank account in HSBC Canada from UK and its in process. As I am going to stay for only one week what other things ( Applying for sin, Health card etc.) I should do during my one week stay in Canada?
Your passport and copy of CPR ( proof of landed immigrant) is enough for applying for SIN.
For the health card, you should show an address proof, to ensure that you are residing in Canada, preferably your bank statement with Canadian address. However, you will not be elgibile for health coverage before completing 3 months from landing in Canada.
