The company I've worked for in the past is shut

My ex-employer cannot provide a reference letter as the company is shut, what all details I can provide along with the letter of explanation to prove that I actually worked for the company? Should I take a reference letter from one of my ex-colleagues? This work experience is included in my work experience claim in the express entry profile so I really need to prove this or my PR might get rejected.

Yes letter from ex colleague along with proof he worked there, payslips, tax forms and a letter of explanation.
