my friend has 31 years and he got acceptance to study petroleum engineer in SAIT in Calgary ,Canada ,but he is concerned about his age ,he is electrical engineer but he never work as engineer ,he joined petroleum company and work in oil and gas sector since he graduated
the fees for one year are 13000 dollar and the program for two years
1-is the age problem to get the visa ?
2-how much he have to show in the fun which he will have in the statement ,is it for one year or for two years ??
1- Age should not be an issue if he can prove that he's been studying or working before applying for the visa. Any study/employment gaps immediately before submitting the visa application are scrutinized hence your friend needs to ensure that he submits a proof of his current employment/studies with his visa application otherwise VO will question as to why the applicant wants to study after such a long gap while he's not currently working either.
2- He needs to show that funds are available to him for: tuition fee for first academic year + at least CAD 10,000 for living expenses + any other expenses (e.g health insurance, uni admin charges, exam fee, gym fee etc..).
He is working for oil and gas sector for 7 years , and he can proof all this with papers like experience letter from the first company he had worked for it ,and paper from current work ,mention that he is working in oil and gas ,and he want to improve his knowledge to get promotion ...
And if Any one has an experience in writing the explanation letter ,can he give me and forum mates the advice regarding my friend situation ...
