Finally we became PR, Thank G-d!!!!!!

We applied under the CEC on February 2012.

My timeline is:

Application received on february 14 2012 (Was sent the 9th i think)

AOR received April 20 , 2012

request for additional documents (police certificate) on July 24th, 2012

Medical request on July 25th, 2012

(ECAS showed "We started processing your application on July 25, 2012". and few weeks later "Medical results have been received")

Than ive been waiting...and waiting... and waiting.......and waiting....

until.....

August 5th 2013(!!!!!!!!) i got an email requesting :
-Right of Permanent Residence Fee
-photograghs
-biodata
-passport copy (im exempted from obtaining visa)

everything was sent few days later


"Decision Made" appeared about 3 weeks later

and got the COPR on October 15th 2013.


Landed on October 25th 2013 at Fort Erie Peace Bridge.

The landing itself was very quick and very smooth... we went there early morning (around 820 am), the office was empty so no waiting time... the process itself took around 15-20 minutes altogether for 3 ppl (two parents and one child). The officer was very nice and didnt ask any questions or requested any documents...

so altogether it took 20 (!!!!!!!) months to get it!

Did you apply for GCMS notes during the process?

No i have no clue clue why it took so long... it was so stressful!!!
and no i didnt order any GCMS notes

If I remember correctly I asked a lawyer and he told me that u have to send Canadian police clearance too.( when u live more than 6 month in the country).
I dunno what's the rule today.

This isn't correct. If you read the documents checklist, you would know.
