Yes, I tried it - I am not from Vancouver office though. The instruction to tell them that you are outside Canada is in the email they will send you. They will reply to your email fairly quickly, in my case it happened same/next day;; they will say it is OK to take test from outside.
1. You receive the test invitation email with instructions.
2. You send them an email on the one provided in the instructions (Outside Canada for the Subject of the email and your full name, application number, UCI, and exam from-to date range for the Body of the email).
3. Send the email and wait 24-48 hours.
4. Someone will send you an email acknowledging your situation - make sure to check your spam/junk folder.
5. You can now do the test by clicking on the link that they provided in their invitation email.

I am in a similar (Outside Canada) situation, applied online in March 2022, AOR in April 2022, got my BG Completed on October 25, 2022 and received test invitation on October 27, 2022 (Window: Oct 31 - Nov 21, 2022).
I passed my test from Outside Canada on November 1, 2022 and until now my online tracker is still showing test in progress / 'waiting on you'.
What do you think would happen in our situation? Any idea?
I am so stressed not knowing what will happen next. Some people here in this forum mentioned that my file will be put on hold until I return back. Please advise what should I do next.
