Temporary resident visa (TRV) outside Canada with extended work permit

I am now staying in Canada and want to apply for TRV (with extended work permit) in India. Few days back I already received my approved extended work permit. I am going to India after three weeks on vacation. So, presently I don't have enough time to apply for TRV within Canada as I need my passport during travel. But I want to apply my TRV online in India (Outside Canda) now while I am in Canada so that after reaching India I could send my passport to Delhi embassy for stamping. In this situation I want to know whether I should mention my current country of residence in the application form (IMM5257) as Canada or India. I have mentioned "country where applying" as India. Please let me know if I apply from Canada online whether I will be able to stamp my passport in India or not.

Since you will be applying from India.... your country of residence would be India...

P.S - I have done this and did exactly like this, I had only 3 weeks time and were able to get the VISA on time...
