:(...recently i got charge dui..i need to visit him every other week before..my son live in british columbia...after my conviction...courts fee,community serivice and etc..and im not planning to get my driver's license back..i was planning to apply temporary resident permit...what is my chances to get approved on temporary resident permit...is their anyway i can i can get re entry trp? i work here in USA..i really need to visit my son..i really miss my son..he almost 3 years old...
 
So, you require a visa to enter canada but you are legally working in the US, correct?

If so, unfortunately the DUI makes you criminally unadmissible to Canada
 
im a US citizen...i got girlfriend that holds open work permit and i got son that was born in canada...my son stayed with the mom..every other week i travel in canada just to visit them..and by this year i recently got arrested for dui..is their any chance to grant me a tpr or any kind of visa that requires re-entry in canada...i worked here in usa...im not a canadian citizen,...

A TRP allows one time entry. It is not a multiple entry permit.

You can certainly apply for a TRP - but again, there's no guarantee it will be approved.

You're inadmissible so there is no multiple re-entry visa you qualify for.

It means that chances are low you will be allowed back into Canada until five years have passed since the DUI
