Hi everyone,

I sent my application package to Mississauga on Oct 2015. Nearly 5 months and I haven't heard a thing. Not even an acknowledge of receipt.

For what I have read, all the applications made on Oct are experiencing an unbereable delay. I know it can take longer than I expected, but does anybody know how to get a hold to a CIC agent and ask them if they may have any news?

I've tried 1-888-242-2100 but there's no way they I can be transfered to an agent. Does anybody have a clue about how to do it?

Thank you very much

did you apply inland or outland, because that will make a significant difference. if you're outland, and you are beyond the normal processing time for sponsor approval, then an option would be to contact your canadian MP. They may be able to assist in figuring out why you haven't received a response. if you are inland, then my guess is this is par for the course for inland processing.

you won't be transferred to an actual agent when you call CIC. calling the number you indicated will send you to their main number, and when you listen to the automated message options, there should be one to talk to a person. this person may or may not have information to tell you. generally, they don't have much more information that you do.

also, that number usually doesn't work outside of canada, so if you are not in canada you may not be able to call them.

if you applied for inland, take longer.

outland, you should get AOL by now, check out your spam mail (sometime CIC mail automatically go to spam)
