I have not received a PPR email from IRCC yet but I did receive an email on December 1st from "IRCC" advising me that I had the option of completing my Landing Procedures over the telephone; I had 48 hours to respond to this email.
However, my representative has advised against this pilot program though others have done with good report.
My question is:
If I opt out of doing the Telephone Landing by disregarding the email, does anyone know when IRCC will send out the regular PPR email for me to send my passport to Ottawa?

Many people are still suspicious of it because the emails from which it is being sent are different for different groups of people. Also, it may pose a problem in the future when renewing your PR card because you will not have an immigrant visa stamped in your passport with this new system; we all know these things need to be tracked at every stage.
While it has been successful thus far, it is still new and she would rather not have me be one of the test subjects because it isn't fool-proof yet. I'm not advising against it I'm just secure in my decision not to part take in it. I am in no hurry and I also live pretty close to a land border.
