Hey all,
A friend of mine is a qualified teacher from Ireland, currently in Calgary on a two year, open IEC WHV work permit. She's doing unrelated work at the moment, but is getting bored and wondering if she can legally teach here.
Some IEC WP's say you cannot work with children; other are more forgiving and say you can work with kids if you've taken a CIC medial.
Is anyone here able to shed a little light on her options?

1. She needs a medical from a Panel Physician and then need to get her work permit amended to reflect the medical.
2. I would think though, that unless she has a very specific skill, she will find it difficult to find a teaching position.
Thank you for your response PMM, much appreciated. Do you know how she would have to go about getting her work permit altered, if she decides she does want to pursue this and to do the medical?
