Hello everyone,

I'm a recent grad in Canada and wish to apply under the new policy in May, which only requires post-grad to be employed at the time of applying. But can't be self-employed.

Here's my dilemma: I have worked in my company since October 2020 first as part-time, and was issued a T4A slip for 2020. I became a full-time employee since March 2021 and will be issued T4, but won't get that until next year.

Basically... I don't want to confuse the officer with my experience under T4A and make him think I'm self-employed.

My question is: In my employment letter, should I mention my experience from last year? Cuz if I do, I'll probably need to provide the T4A, which I'm afraid may complicate the matter and make the officer think I'm a contractor. Or should I only mention my work experience since becoming a full-time employee this year? If I do this, I will only have paystubs to prove income.

Thanks in advance!

mention everything. it won't hurt you.
Thank you. At first, I wanted to include everything. But later I got worried about the T4A slip. Cuz if I apply this way in May, the supporting documents besides reference letter will just be a few recent paystubs, and last year's T4A... I'm afraid if that's gonna make the visa officer believe I'm self-employed and reject me :( If I only mention my experience since becoming a full-time T4 employee in March, there won't be an issue with the T4A. Thank you again :) but I'm still baffled about the dilemma
