I got a email in aug 09 stating that my application has been recommended to the visa office and hence i should send all the documents to the buffalo office. however there is a 120 day limit in sending all the documents which is approaching very soon and my documents are not ready yet. e.g: fbi clearance, PCC, etcwhat do you think i should do? can i send the documents which are ready and later send the remaining documents?

You can try to write CIC about that situation, but I am not sure whether they will accept your request or refuse application due to incomplete application or if you couldn't submit any thing.. then non-responding.
Under FSW.. its hard to get extensions .... wait for reply from other members as well, by the way.. give a try and write local visa office, maybe you have luck and they grant you extension. Good luck.

they have clearly mentioned in the email Note: Once the 120 days has elapsed, a final eligibility of determination will be made based on the information on file. A negative determination of eligibility for processing is final and will result in the closure of your file. Documents must be submitted in a SINGLE package.

Dear Arora PS,

All the docs r quite easy to get within 120 days. None of the docs take more than 3 months, including FBI, other PCCs etc. I guess, the time lost was due to some other reason of urs. However, plz note, for ur Comfort... The CIC letter says so, but they r not heartless ppl. They do consider indiv hassles.

Thus, ur best bet is to compile whatever u can manage within this 4 months. For the rest write a suave & humble Cover Letter explaining all ur obstackles; and give out a time-frame (generalized) by which date u expect all the other docs should follow. That'll help.

Regards.
