Me and my wife (both Canadian citizens) are considering surrogacy abroad using donor egg (not my wife).
Therefore, only me (husband) will have biological connection to the child.
Will it be possible for the child to become Canadian citizen and how lengthy is the process?

If the child is born abroad, you will have to file for a citizenship certificate. My child got theirs within 5 months

Were you able to return with your child while waiting for the certificate? If yes, what documents did you apply for assuming its a visa required country?
