I wanted to be in Ontario and never really thought of any other province to be frank and so the choice of colleges.

My profile :
Graduation - B.tech Mechanical engineering-- 70%
Work experience : 2.5 years as SAP consultant
IELTS : 8 bands overall

what is your individual IELTS score? You might be eligible for PR.

My individual scores LRWS are 8.5/8.5/7/7.5.
However, I had appeared for the Academic module and not sure on eligibility for PR.

To be honest, based on your IELTS score, you will be wasting your time and money on Student Visa.
You can definitely apply for PR application. It may take a little bit longer but you will be saving almost $30,000.
