Hi all!
I am planning to apply Supervisa for my father early next year. He doesn’t work anymore and doesn’t have a bank account. My father is living with my sister and her family in a house that he own.
Questions:
* What proof could he give for his ties back home?
*Is it better to apply online or thru paper application?
Also, i just gave birth last June, can I make my husband my co-signer coz I’m not sure if my salary would meet the LICO requirement?
Do I have to right in my invitation letter that I just gave birth or not?
I’m hoping someone can help me with this.
Thank you so much

For super visa the family income is considered. You will get NOA in jan /feb and you can apply.
For ties back home give the ownership proof and tax payment of property and family back home.
online or paper application - choice is yours
Do not mention about birth in invitation letter

You can submit employment letter or paystub, you don't have to wait next year to get NOA.
My parents are with me in Canada on Super Visa. Their passport with their visa was valid till 2018 end and the visa its self is until 1 Jan 2018. I am applying for their visas. I am not clear if they will need to exit Canada to get their visas stamped on their passports?
Can anyone clarify?

Hi. shoberane27. We have the same situation. Did you apply already? How was the application process? Did your father got approved? Thanks.

This is a good question. Can anyone share if they have applied for a supervisa while the applicant was IN Canada?

It's not possible. Try the 'Come to Canada' tool. It will confirm this

Bryanna this is what I got in response from the Delhi office of CIC:
Good Day,
Yes, you can apply for a super visa however the tourist visa will be cancelled and will no longer be valid.
For Super Visa she can apply while she is staying in Canada. However, TRV which is for 6 months valid for now, within that period you should be able to apply and receive your supervise.

Please post the email you received from NDVO after deleting personal references
That is the text of the email that I've received.

The English is pretty bad for a Canadian visa officer/consular staff working in NDVO
The email you received contradicts what IRCC informed last year about applying for a super visa while holding a valid TRV + it also contradicts the 'Come to Canada' tool assessment
Well that's their problem, isn't it? But trust me it's genuine.

Considering the reply you received has several, basic grammatical mistakes + does not have the typical tone/format of a reply from a visa office, the person may have not understood your question. Anyway
It still does not change the fact that applications for super visas must be made to visa offices outside of Canada. If an applicant tries to apply inside of Canada then s/he will get the 'Application to extend the stay' form + if approved, s/he can expect a visitor record/extension, and not a PG-1 super visa counterfoil stamped in the passport
