Super Visa - Proof of Relationship

My wife has to provide proof of her relationship with her mother. Unfortunately, her birth certificate does not have her father's name as it only has her father's name on it. However, her old Indian passport has her mother's name. Can I provide the old Indian passport as proof? Is there anything else I can provide to prove the proof of relationship requirement?
