Super Visa Passport Exit date stamped

Hello,
I have question for the date stamped on my parents super visa at the POE.
The CBSA officer stamped the date as on expiry date of the insurance (1 Year from entry). Do i need to apply for extension for my parents or just renewing the Medical insurance would be enough ?
Do i need to notify CBSA or IRCC about this ?

If they received a stamp they need to apply for an extension. There may have been concerns when they landed that they were trying to move to Canada permanently and not visit. There also could have been concerns about their health which could have lead to the date being stamped. Normally you don’t get your passport stamped with a specific date. Would include proof of purchase of another year of insurance when applying for the extension.

Extend (2 years) and maintain insurance.
