Has anyone applied for Super Visa in the new year ?
I applied for my parents on January 12th from India and got a biometric request within 3 hours which I had never seen before.

Biometric request is automated. It will be get updated on the same day once it is done.

I didn't do it upfront.
As far as I know, it can be done only before applying as motioned here, https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ams/requirements-temporary-residents.html#can

We have done upfront and then while submitting application, we added UME number along with Emedical sheet in file section. You can wait as well after submission but I have heard that medical request takes time so we just did upfront to buy out some time.

I submitted my father's supervisa application on Dec 25, 2024 amd got rejected for very generic reasons. Good luck all of you!

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application. - Really does not make sense at all
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). - Given property evaluations, Indian bank account statements etc. plus Canadian bank account balance.

Funds: So was this for a supervisa showing you meet LICO with NOA? How much did they show in funds? Property isn’t funds. What did they show that they can support themselves (jobs with payslips)
Temporary Stay: So they applied for a supervisa with medical insurance and approved medicals? Length of visit?

Extension of what because a supervisa and TRVs are always new applications. Extension of stay in Canada so a Visitor Record? If supervisa, where did they apply from.

So they applied for a visitor record, and posting under 2025 January Supervisa applications. Call IRCC. They are on maintained status so they can wait.
