I and my husband living in Canada. We sponsored our parents (husband's) on Super Visa. we have one dependent child. We are total 5. I, my husband, a daughter and father and mother were being sponsored. we filed 2015 income tax return of $60,000. Required for Super visa for 5 members is $51,000 approx. The visa got rejected with a reason that "you have not provided sufficient documentation to support your host's income and assets. My husband is a Canadian Citizen and i am on work permit and has already applied for PR last year 2015. It doesn't look like a valid reason.
I think if your case, They will only consider your husband's income because he is the only who is canadian citizen. You are on work permit so you can not include your income with your husband's income to sponsor your parents. because if you will check the eligibility of super visa, they says
** Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, but you are not canadian or PR yet.
