Hi everyone, I am really new to this and I have an urgent question. Can I apply for a super visa for my mother in law if my husband has no income. Technically I know he is the sponsor, however he has no income. I would qualify base on the latest LICO with just my salary but can it be done? Would they allow my income or they look just at my husband who is the "son"? Thanks so much in advance for your time
you can co- sign the application with your husband.the invitation letter should be signed by both of your and a declaration of financial support for your husband should be included
good luck !!!

Thank you so much twiggy!!! I'm really desperate

as we do mot qualify to sponsor her yet, so I am really hoping this super visa would work for us. Please don't mind me asking, but what is a declaration of financial support for my husband? Also can it be done if she is already here in Canada under a regular visitor visa?
Since your husband has no income, you support him and the family so a declaration of financial support indicating you are financially responsible for your spouse and support your mother in law's visit. You should also include all relevant documents to support same i.e statement of income, CRA tax returns, bank statements etc.
It seems she is already in Canada so i am not sure if you can apply for a super visa but i will let anyone with the experience or knowledge answer that
Good luck !!!
Thanks again!! Much appreciate it!!
can not apply supervisa within canada.
You can apply for a super visa within Canada. You will need to buy medical insurance to submit with the application. I am an insurance broker, contact me for a quote.
parents and grand parents can apply for their extention up to two years, if they meet Supervisa requirements, but in order to get counterfoil on your passport you will have to do it from outside Canada.
