submitting work permit extension application one day before expiry date

The expiration date on my current document is July 31, and I submitted my extension application on July 30 at 10:23:53 p.m. EDT. IRCC use UTC to calculate deadlines. Now, I know. It means 10:23 PM EDT on July 30, 2024, is equivalent to 2:23 AM UTC on July 31, 2024.
my question is that: did my previous work permit expired as the 11:59 UTC July 30, 2024 or 11:59 UTC July 31, 2024 (today 6:59 PM EST). I know the calculation of UTC to EST and vice versa my question is regarding IRCC taking expiry date at the end of day or the end of the previous day?

End of the day of course. You expiration dates is July 31 23:59:59

@AW2017 did you end up receiving your WP-EXT letter?

That never came. I called IRCC later and they told me it was system glitch somr recieved and some not but I was on safe side.
