I submitted my study permit renewal application ONLINE on July 1 before my permit expired on July 30. It was supposed to take 35-40 days for processing.
I have been waiting four months. I have called twice. First time I called I was told mid-October I would find something out. I called back last week and was told nothing has changed and to keep waiting.
I don't know what's going on. I'm technically out of status now and I'm unsure what to do. I can't get MSI health insurance, renew my SIN, or even apply for CO-Op work permit for my school because my study permit is still expired (Because it's taking over four months to renew my study permit).
I don't know what else to do. Calling the Call Centre they just tell me it's at the office and to keep waiting, but I feel the longer I wait, something must be wrong. Did they lose my application?
