SENIORS,
Please is there any penalty for submitting new application form (of course if qualified) to CIO while the old one is still pending at the CHC (of your country)?
My question is based on;
1. Would CIO not know that there is an existing application?
2. On the application form for PR, there is a column we need to fill if we have ever applied for PR before; Do we tick yes?
3. Is it better to wait for AOR before withdrawing the old application or to do so simulteanously?
4. Or should one withdraw first before applying under the new rule??
Please i need urgent answer as am about to send my form possibly 2moro to CIO
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I contacted 4 lawyer firms, three of them said that I must withdraw the old application before submitting the new one. Only one said to me that I must withdraw when I receive medical request from CIC. Another consultant said that I should only withdraw the old one after I receive the new file number of the new application.
Some advices I got from immigration lawyers and consultant are for your reference.
