Question: What is the average time delay between submission and start of processing. I submitted on June 5th, and according to e-cas online, processing on my case began on October 7th. The current status is shown as 'in process'. Does that mean my application sat on a desk for 4 months? I am now 6 months into my application, and have not even received my AOR yet. My guess is that the 10 months stated on the website as a guideline is probably optimistic, especially if I count from June.
That's odd, you usually get the AOR when your case is put into processing. Your AOR must have gotten lost, they've been coming by email lately, if you have spam filters, be sure to check...
Sat on a desk for 4 months? No comment ... they do a completeness review (which you passed, or else it would have been returned to you by now and would not be "in process") and enter the application info into their system...
Yes, 4 months seems to be the amount of time right now for an AOR. And the 10 months as stated on the website is for applications that were approved between January-July 2010. That is, applications made in 2009. Processing conditions have changed since then, and yes, it will probably take longer than 10 months.
