Hi, I want to ask if its realistic to study in university of calgary (Alberta) and find job in BC or ontario. I will probably move to that province before starting job hunting

Sure - you can certainly do that.

Thanks for the reply. I just want to make sure there arent any bias against different province graduates among employer or maybe they will prefer graduates of their own province universities

Biases are more around the quality / reputation of the university than the location.

If I may ask
Hows UofC reputation in BC or Ontario.

It's good although there will be other schools that employers whill most likely rank as higher (e.g UofT and Waterloo for Ontario, UBC and UVic for BC).

Would suggest finding a job before moving. I would also be willing to move where the best job opportunity is versus move to the big centres where you will face the most competition. This is an especially tough time to secure a job bwtween covid and a recession. Same advice as I give young people who are Canadian citizen and new grads: go where the best opportunities are and once you have some years of experience and perhaps a few jobs slowly try to move where you want to be.
