I'm and international student and my Masters course at a Uni in Ontario ends in April 2015 (graduation in June 2015), I have a study permit on passport valid until Aug 31, 2015.
What I want to ask is:
1) When should I apply for PNP?
2) Would I have any restrictions on leaving Canada between April 2015 and August 2015 if my PNP application is in process?

1. You can apply in your last semester (in Ontario). No job offer/experience required for Master degree graduate.
2. No restrictions, all you need a valid SP & TRV to travel.

Thanks. But how does the application work? I'm totally confused between PNP and PR, and how long does each procedure take?
Also, I'm concerned about my SP expiring on Aug 31, 2015. I obviously won't have PR status by then. If I apply for PNP, fly out of Canada in April 2015 after studies end, and want to come back, how does that work?
