Studying in Canada on a sponsorship program

Hello,
Im planning for my masters in Management information systems in Canada this fall 2020. My government from India is entirely sponsoring my full education for this as I have received one scholarship from my government. Will I be able to work in Canada after one or two years of study duration if the awardee of this scholarship is bound to two years of home residency (i.e. after graduation, student is supposed to return to his/her home country and stay there for two years).
Can someone please suggest me any solution if I can still work in Canada after my masters? And also with this situation stated above, can I get or apply for PR ?

Others can comment/correct but with a 2 year course you could qualify for a 3 years PGWP however the PGWP validity would start almost immediately after you graduate and you cannot defer the start/end date. So if were to assume you returned home for 2 years once you graduate but still applied for a PGWP you would only gain around 12 months benefit of the 3 year work permit.

As for PR sure you can apply if you qualify same as anyone else although the potential disadvantage in your case would be missing out on 2 out of 3 years potential Canadian work experience which could have been credited towards a PR application. You could return for the 3rd year but would have to take your chances that you could land a job straight off to get a full 12 months experience.

Also as far as PR application is concerned depends also what work experience you will be gaining in the 2 years being spent in your home country how that will affect you chances or score for example in a PR application.

Above is only my personal view as I have no personal information about scholarship guidelines from the Indian Government but would imagine the intention is for a recipient to remain in the country long term hence I assume the 2 year committment.

Avoiding your government's requirements has nothing to do with Canada. I would imagine your government would come after you for the funds for failing to meet the scholarship requirement.
