Studying in Canada, Living in US

Hi everyone,

The CIC website does not have any information to help me with my specific situation, so I was wondering if anyone on this forum was in the same situation. I am an American that was recently accepted into a school in Ontario for a master's degree. I will be living in the states (Buffalo, NY) and commuting to school every day, so do I still need to show proof of having living expenses covered on my study permit application? My parents will be providing living accommodations and I will be working at my job in the states, so I could easily attach paystubs and a letter from my parents, but I do not want to if it is not necessary. Tuition and fees are completely covered with scholarships and fellowships from the school.

That's a good question, I'd be interested to see the answer. I'm considering doing the same thing in the Plattsburgh/Montreal area, but it just depends on whether it will work for me or not. I'm not sure if there is the opportunity to include a letter of explanation with your app, but if so I certainly would.
