My Cousin is planning to come to canada on a study permit and she want her spouse to accompany her. Now my Question is can her spouse arrive in canada along with her? Do they need to file for visa together or her spouse need to wait till she gets her visa stamped? If any body has any idea kindly provide the details of the process and the documentation.
Some of the travel agents say that the spouse can only apply after 3 month. what is the reality behind this?
Kindly assist. Your help would be highly appreciated.
The spouse can apply for a TRV or an open work permit either together with the study permit application or separately once the study permit is approved.
Note there is no guarantee the TRV or open work permit will be approved.
Another query: In Case they apply together will the spouse visa be rejected or their complete application will be rejected?
IF only spouse visa is rejected, what are the options available to the spouse to join his/her partner?
Hi..,, I have a question too, I am going to be graduated in July 2016, I was enrolled in 2 year course but its only 14 months. Is it required to complete study in 16 months to get 3 years work permit? Also I want to apply for my spouse too, what are the options?

Anything is possible. They could reject both if they apply together, it's possible both may be approved and it's possible only the study permit will be approved. If the spouse applies for a TRV and is rejected and also applies for an OWP and is rejected - then the other spouse will have to travel to Canada to study alone.
