Hi!
Did anyone get a study visa and owp for husband and a TRV for their toddler?
I got my study visa while my husband has just submitted his medical examination.
However my toddler (2years old) has not received a request for medicals yet.
Does anyone know if the toddler needs a medical examination?
My program is for 2 years.
Thanks in advance
Hi, my family is in the process of applying for the same. As far as I know, everyone needs to undergo the medical examination, including toddlers.
May I ask, did you submit your application together all at the same time? Your medical requests should come at the same time (ideally).

Hi starlettedouze,
Thanks for the reply. I submitted mine with both of their application together. We received their rejection letters a few weeks after I received my Medical Examination request from the mail. I got accepted within a month of submission.
We tried again but this time my husband applied for an Open Work Permit instead of just a TRV. He received a request for medical examination 2 weeks after submission. My daughter has not yet received hers. My husband has already submitted his medical examination results.
I am quite worried since the last time resulted in a rejection of the application of the person who did not receive a medical examination request.
Hi
I have applied for a study permit and my husbands open work permit. May I ask what the reason they gave for your husbands and daughters rejection? I am a British Citizen however my husband is an Indian Citizen with Permanent Residency in the UK so I assume he will be required to undergo a medical exam? Which country did you apply from? I applied online from the UK so I assume it will take 7 weeks but hoping to hear earlier :s
Thanks

HI canadastudentvisa!
In the initial rejection, they indicated "Not enough country ties".
I applied from the Philippines and the Canadian website indicates that anyone staying for more than 6 months is required to undergo Medical Examination.
I hope you get a reply soon. The waiting time is killing me.

Hi
Thank you for your response. How did you show ties to your home country? I have not shown any such thing furthermore my sister and brother in law are supporting us financially from here.
I completelt agree, the waiting times are so long!! I have applied 4 weeks ago, another long 3 weeks before I hear anything!
Good luck with your application I hope you get a visa soon

Hi,
please advise me on what documents did u submit for ur spouse under the Purpose of travel Section in the online submission of his open work permit visa
Hi
I just wrote a letter stating that my husband wishes to accompany me whilst I study in Canada. The letter I wrote was very short and simply stated that he wishes to go with me.
May I ask what country you are applying from? And what will you be studying.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your application

HI canadastudentvisa,
We submitted a copy of our assets including land titles, property titles, bank loans and my prolonged leave letter from my current company.
I hope we all get visas soon.
=)
