Study visa after creating having created the express entry profile

Hi,
What is the success rate of getting a Canadian Study Visa if the person previously had created an express entry profile. Will it affect the visa officer's decision ? What are the odds that the person will be denied the visa on the grounds that your intention seems to be immigration post completion of studies according to our current records ?
Is there anyone who was issued study visa after they created the express entry profile but later dropped the idea?
