Study permit + visitor visa?

it is not optional bongoman. IRCC says submit your passport you have to submit your passport. and ircc puts the other TRV too. so if you get a passport request you advice not to submit?

you got a passport request because you applied for trv for no reason you have visa you dont need to apply for trv again just for study/work permit

my friend had a visitor visa. valid till 2024 . he applied for study permit in 2019. it was approved and ircc said submit passport. it is simple.

yes. that was my point all along. someone asked ircc and they say it is for statistical reasons and a formality

So can you guide me please,
Do you have contacts which can provide and guide me through prerequisite course , how much duration the prerequisite course is.
Can we approach the college or university directly for this ?

Asking for my sister in-law. She has a valid visitor visa, and now wants to study here. She has an accepted offer. Of course she needs to apply for a study permit. But does she need a new (student) visa? or the visitor visa is good enough?
