Study permit validity after deferring course

Hello Everyone..
Please help me i m in a big trouble
I got my visa approved on 2 nov 2015 to study at sheridan college in january 2016 intake.but unfortunately i had to defer my course start date to next available intake i.e september..becauae no courses are available for international students in may intake..
So my question is that am i putting my study visa in danger by not traveling to canada?? or can i use this visa to go to canada to obtain my study permit for beginning of classes in september.
Or i should inform canada embassy about my status??

1. As long as you have a new letter of deferral (1 month before the departure) and a valid TRV, you can enter Canada, but be prepared to answer questions at POE.

they might require new deferral letter
And does the rule of actively pursue studies . applies to me??
because i m not study permit holder as theh are issued at port of entry..

Facing the similar situation. Please confirm what happened in your case. I got Study Visa for Sept2017 intake and due to my work commitment at my workplace i have to defer it till May 2018 as Jan 2018 in already full. Please help.
