Hi All,
My niece wanted to continue her studies in Canada, she will be in Grade 11 this September. She will not be accompanied by any of her Parents. I will be her custodian. Is there anyone here got refused or approved? And is IELTS required for high school students?
Thanks

She needs to get a study permit. You or her parents will need to fund the international student fees which are around $14,000 per year. You or her parents will also need to show an additional $10,000 in funds to cover living expenses.
I would recommend waiting until September next year to apply give classes may be online this fall.

Thank you for the information. i am aware of the costs and I would be funding it for her. Just wanted to get an idea of how feasible or successful it would be to get a permit for high school. What is the rate of approval or refusal (and the grounds).

I don't believe refusal / approval rates are published.
Things that can influence approval / refusal include: being able to show sufficient funds and income from sponsors, country of origin and residence, status in country if living in a country other than the country of origin, travel history.
