Hello guys.
I’m a international student and i came to Canada in 2021 December with a 2 year visa, i was supposed to start my studies in January 2022 as a Aircraft Maintenance student but unfortunately I could not select my timetable so the school told me to defer it to September 2022 which i did and i change my program to a one year course which is Construction I’m currently done with it but now i want to do another course which will begin in September it’s also a construction course so I will join them into the 3rd semester, but the thing is that program will finish next year April/May and my study permit will expire next year March, so I will need to extend my study permit and i have sat for more than 150 days without going to school from Jan-Sept without informing IRRC about it. What should i do now ? Please I need

I was told they if i only change programs it’s not compulsory to inform them.
now im currently going on to my final semester in January. I did not skip any semester tho. And for the gap it was the school fault cuz I did already paid my tuition

Assume you can show that you didn’t work from December 2021 to September 2022? Most would have returned now because they could not afford to support themselves without working for 8+ months. Did you change to a equql level of studies? For example diploma to diploma? Postgrad diploma to postgrad diploma?
Yes i change from diploma to diploma and i paid my tuition in full for the first semester of the first program even before deferring it which was in 2021 Dec i paid in full
