Study permit extension

Hello there,
I have completed my 4 semesters but failed one course in my third semester. I was about to start the course in summer as a part time student. I also applied for my study permit extension and it'll probably come around 10th may.
Now, my college cancelled the course, so I can only do that course in September. So, do I need to apply again for study permit extension? How can I inform cic about this change? Can I work full time until I start my course in

Can you tell me how much money you showed in the statements ?
Does it have to be the exact amount as needed for tuition + expenses .
