Study permit extension(November 6)

Hi friends I am little bit confused about my case.I have applied my study permit extension before my study permit gets expire in order to get time to apply for pgwp.But as my study permit is expired now and I am waiting for my extension to get approved can I apply for the pgwp while waiting for extension or I have to wait for my extension to get approved.

Here is IRCC website statement To be eligible, your study permit must have been valid at some point during these 180 days.

Thanks bro for you clarification.Actually I want to go home for some days but I have nothing in my hand.My trv also het expires with my study permit.Now I have to wait to study permit extension to apply for new trv so that I can travel back to my home for some days.
