Study permit extension and open work permit extension

I want to apply for my study permit extension and my spouse open work permit extension. But i didnt changed my status on my passport. What should i do which one is the best option to apply seperate or together. And should i choose single or married?

Marital status in your passport is irrelevant.

No point in applying separately but your choice.

Of course you can't choose single. That is a lie.

Because i married after when i came to Canada. Thats why my status is not changed on my passport. So what should i do at that point??

One more question when i will apply .There is one question in which they ask "Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada? Should i select yes?
