Hello All,
My study permit will expire on 31 Aug 2022 and I am currently on a NOC B full-time job (Course finished in May 2022). I have applied for PGWP but it may takes some time for the approval.
I think I will be moved to implied status after 31 Aug 2022, hope I don't have to do anything; Kindly confirm my understanding.
My SIN will also expire on the same date when my current study permit expires, will that create any problem in my current job? \
Thanks in advance!
You are in the "Maintained/Implied" status as soon as you submit your PGWP application. This enables you to continue working regardless of the study permit/TRV validity. After IRCC approves your PGWP application, you can apply for a new TRV and a new SIN, updating your employer with those details.
Thank you so much RamSatt. Since my study permit is expired and currently on implied status, is it a good idea to go to the border and flagpole to get the PGWP?
Do you have a valid TRV?

Yes, I have a valid TRV till 2027 but my study permit has been expired and already applied for PGWP.

You can flagpole in that case. I recommend BC land border points as they have the least hassle and highest likelihood of approval.
Do note that any maintained/implied status ceases to exist once you've crossed the border.
Normally maintained status ceases to exist when you exit Canada, but your authorisation to work is not based on maintained status, but subsection 186(w) of Immigration Refugees Protection Regulation. Therefore, you don't lose your authorisation to work if a decision has not been rendered on your work permit application.
