Study Permit expires before Study Completes

I applied my visa on 9 feb 2022 and got approval on 14 Sept. I had to defer my may and sept batch due to delay. my study starts on jan 9 and visa expires in april. What should I do? when to apply for study permit again? Can I travel in first week of dec? how long they take to give study permit in canada?

Get into Canada in December. you have at most 1 month of your class resumption to be in Canada. so anytime from end of November is ok to be in Canada. when you get in, you apply for study permit extention. Do it before the end of January to get response before it finally expires. though, extension of study permit from inside Canada is faster.
