Study permit expired -> cannot study this term -> not full time each term -> cannot get work permit?

I am an undergraduate student. I found out my study permit as well as Canada visa expired on July 31, 2019. I dropped my courses for this term and am applying for extending my study permit right now.

As title suggests, I am concerned since my study permit expired, I cannot study this term. Since I cannot study this term and I am not in a co-op program, which means I am not a full-time status each semester. If I am not a full-time status each semester, does that mean I am not able to apply for post-graduation work permit after I finish my studies ?

What can I do ? Does that mean I have to leave Canada after I finishes my studies ?

You will either leave, take another program or get a work permit in some other way.

You can still apply for pgwp and try your luck though.

Also make sure you are doing restoration and not just study permit extension.
