Study Permit Delayed

Hello,
I applied for a study permit under SDS on 14 Sept, 2020.
The last update was received on 19th Feb 2021. Medical passed.
Till yet no update or email. Do you guys any idea how long it will take more?
They are checking background and eligibility. It's taking too long. Visa Office Abu Dhabi.

Hi. We are in the same boat. I really do not know what is happening. I am July applicant and got AIP only. Did you get the GCMS note? I've got it in January. Check this thread:

Hey, I'm having the same problem. Applied March and last update was biometrics received July 7. They've been checking eligibility and background since then. I'm fed up.

Then why did you apply with your parents…makes no sense if you are a post secondary student. In fact, you can’t.

Yes you can apply with family members. All you have to do is create a single account and submit applications for all the family members that want to apply. There would be a primary applicant though, in my case I am the primary applicant as the student and my parents applied under me(for temporary residence). Do you understand?

DAMNNN. Abu Dhabi visa office sucks. Bro share your profile and have you applied for gcms notes? An acquaintance of mine have also same situation, he applied on Dec 2020 through sds and on 14 sept got bvl, then no updates.

I applied in feb in Delhi . Eligibility started but no response yet. My college is located in Toronto. I read on some forum that Quebec applications are taking long but mine is not from there. Did you guys apply for Quebec?

No change to your application. You order them from an private company and it takes about 30 days.

So are you studying right now. If so, you need to decide whether to continue or defer.

Processing time is 11 weeks but mine has by far exceeded those 11weeks.
