My Friend son enter to canada in sep 2018 for 2 years advance diploma course with student study permit now he struggled to complete the course. So he can covert his visa from student visa to open work permit it is possible to do. Financially he is struggling. Please give me the clear answer so I can educate him properly

1. No he can't convert study permit to open work permit.
 
Only by completing the course in a pgwp elligable way can he then apply for pgwp which is an open work permit otherwise he pretty much has to leave or get an lmia which is nearly impossible.
