Hi,
I submitted my study permit request Nov 18th, 2022, and finished Medical exam Jan, 2023. Since Jan I waited 5 month and recently I got the biometric payment request letter... I pay and upload the receipt on May 9th and did not get the collection letter yet. How long could it be to get the biometric collection letter? Why the biometric comes so long after medical request? If anyone has experience the similar issue please help share the info here, thank you!

(The insteresting part is that my parents submit visa application together with my study permit, they got biometric payment request letter in Jan, but somehow they did not request that in my application during that time)

Something is terribly wrong with your timeline. It shouldn’t take more than a day since you submitted until IRCC sends you an instruction letter to take with to a visa office to give in biometrics. If you have applied through an agent I believe that could be the problem

True, I applied my application online via IRCC portal, and I submit my receipt the same way so it shouldnt' be a problem.
I called IRCC via phone, and they say the only thing I can do is wait and send webform (...), I sent multiple webform starting April, I guess the bio payment request letter is a good outcome of my webforms lol

My class is begining Sep so I still have some time, but my experience is really different than what normally it should be. At least I think biometric should be before medical? Not sure lol
