Study Gap After 8+ Years

Hello Gents & Ladies,
I am housewife of 2 with 8+ years of gap in my studies, Now i was to study in canada with no kids and husband accompanying me to canada.
Before this I was with my husband in gulf from where my visa says " Not permitted to work", but i was working as free lancer providing service from home to 2 companies based on commission.
Kindly let me know if i am eligible for student visa considering factors
1- I have study gap of 8+ years
2- My dependent visa in gulf clearly said " Not permitted to work" but I was working as free lancer from home.

Yes I suppose, Not exactly but i was not permitted to work on payroll or going by going to office.
Freer lancing is acceptable anywhere in world, I just need laptop and internet connection and who would pay me for my services I suppose.

Gap is not an issue. The problem is what is your current immigration status and can you show strong ties to your home country, you need to convince canadian immigration that you have strong reasons to go back to your country after completing your studies, this is your main challenge.

Thanks for reply, I have 2 girls i will be leaving with their granny + My Husband will be here working in India.
Is this sufficient.
