student who filed refugee claim

I have a friend who entered here as student. I found out that he also filed a refugee claim. What will happen if his refugee claim is not approved? Will his study permit be cancelled?

I have a friend who entered here as student. I found out that he also filed a refugee claim. What will happen if his refugee claim is not approved? Will his study permit be cancelled?

as he claimed refugee his study permit would no longer be acceptable. In case of rejection he would be deported back to his native country. He has to provide some strong reasons and apprehensions that which kind of threat or persecution he is expected to face in his home country to get his refugee claim acceptable
