So I applied today for a course at NAIT Edmonton starting in September, they have a short prerequisite course that I need to do before I can be accepted on to this course and obviously apply for my student visa,
Issue is the course is only 2 months and part time just one day a week and can ONLY be done in Canada,
SO - Is my only option basically to wait until tourists are allowed in go on holiday and do this course or is it possible to get a student visa for this or some other form of route

My suggestion:
- Call NAIT's international admissions (keyword being call, not email) and politely ask if the pre-reqs can be waived off this time because of the circumstances. If that doesn't work then find the registrar's number and call them.
Yes it might actually work. Entrance requirements displayed by Canadian universities on their admissions pages aren't set in stone and they can be waived off by the right person at the university/institute.
