will my student visa refusal (last year) effect my spousal visa?? I married in April this year and my husband is now sponsoring me. I am afraid my previous rejection will have a negative impact on my case? Is there anyone else having some what similar situation/case?
With your student visa request you showed interest to live in Canada so , I think, they look deeper at your relationship evidence to be sure that you relationship is genuine. If you have good evidence and you met your husband before the visa refusal everything will be fine I think. At the worst expect an interview, difficult to say!
Is there a chance of rejection in genuine spousal cases?

If your relation is genuine don't worry it will pass
