Hi everyone,
My student Visa is expired but I'm having PGWP that is valid till May 2022. I want to travel to India on expired Canadian student Visa. Is it possible to do so? Also, I have applied TRV in Canada but I can't wait for an appoval as it is taking longer time, can I give my passport in India after my stamping got approved?
you can but will take longer to process.
If it got approved here in Canada which I think it will be within 2 weeks, will it still take longer time for stamping itself?
yes i believe normal stamping hasnt been resumed in india with vfs offices still closed. So may take longer. Check with VFS India and also call up IRCC early morning to speak to an executive.
Thank you very much for your reply. Appreciated. Can you also confirm if I will be able to travel to India with an expired Canadian Visa?
yes wont face any problem leaving canada but wont be able to come back without trv

TRV I have already applied in Canada but stamping is an issue. I can't wait till stamping, so thinking to do it in India even if it takes a month.
check with vfs before you make a decision. of course if its an emergency then go, but if not, i’d probably wait
Just checked that vfs is accepting passport stamping request as a 2 way courier service
