Student visa from south africa

Is their anyone who is a foriegn national that got their Canadian student visa in south africa? pls share your experience and is it possible to apply as i am on a south african study permit and will expire end of this year..Pls help and share your experience thanks

I don't know if anybody applying from South Africa but lots of people applying from their country of residence rather than home country. I applied from London but originally from Bangladesh!! Hopefully you will be OK. There are few people in this forum misguides others, so don't listen to them.

Thanks for the advice, can you pls tell me when you apply what was your status in London? and where was your sponsors documents from? Bangladesh or London? and must i demonstrate ties to my present country of residence or home country? pls share your experience with me pls thanks

I am here in student visa just completing msc. I am sponsoring myself.I think you should show your family ties in home country because of your immigration status. That's what I did but you can double check with others which university did you apply and what course??

I applied at Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology for Advanced certificate in Business Office Education and it starts in Sept 2013 and jan 2014 but. You said you are sponsoring yourself right? what did you state as your source of income? and when did you submit your application?
